The building owner always dreamt of living in a castle. But with the building of the tower chalet the principal purpose was to place some emphases differently for modern architecture towards the end of 20th century. Future generations should profit not only from rehabilitated and restored buildings, but also from highlights of modern architecture without any alpine tittle-tattle.

Model for this project was the historical Rotund Castle from the turn of the 1st millennium in Taufers village at the border of Switzerland, which the building owner wanted to purchase originally.
