Primary school in Latsch, secondary school in Dorf Tirol, leaving certificate of Handelsoberschule in Bozen, specialisation in external trade at the University of Trento. 1965-1984 managing director of the fruit co-operative Ortler in Latsch, 1974-76 provisional management of the fruit co-operative MIVO. 1972-77 vice chairman, from 1977 chairman of Raiffeisenkasse Latsch. 1982-90 governing board of Raiffeisenzentralkasse Südtirol in Bozen, 1969-80 municipal councillor, vice mayor. 1974-78 President of the Tourist Association of Latsch, 1978 foundation of SELECTA (fruit agency), foundation of SELIMEX (commercial firm) and other import and trading firms in Germany.
